Time to spruce up those old converse? | How to

 Hellooooo my lovelies!
Are your converse looking a little worse for wear? Well I guess you could throw them in the washing machine wrapped in a pillow case but - believe it or not - the pillow case makes no difference. WHAT. SO. EVER. There is still a couple of heavy shoes bouncing around in your (or your parents) washing machine which could cost a lot to fix.
But don't fret! I obviously have an easy way to clean them what you will need is:
For the canvas:

  • 10ml hot (tap) water
  • 10 ml vinigar (white)
  • 1tsp baking soda
  • 1tsp washing powder
  • (a few drops of bleach for white converse)
  • old toothbrush
  • mixing bowl
For the rubber:
  • 10ml hot (tap) water
  • 2tbsp washing powder
  • same old toothbrush
  • same mixing bowl
Now you have all your bits and bobs together it's time to take the laces out of your shoes (these will look rank) and throw them in the wash with some clothes.

Then you add all the canvas bits together in a bowl to form a smelly liquid (add a few drops of bleach if you are cleaning white converse), then you scrub it all over your shoes (apart from the rubber) and let them sit for about 5 minutes. When they've sat (watching TV and eating a cheese sandwich) then you wash all the mixture off with warm water.

Now it's time for the rubber (if you're American I do not mean condom) mix all the things together in a little bowl and scrub the shoe, this will take a lot longer because it'll be dirtier than the canvas part. However if you are using a bit of bleach for white converse DO NOT use it on the rubber okay? Then do the same again and leave then for 5 mins and rinse them off with warm water and TA DAH. As good as new! (well...almost you might have noticed that some parts of the rubber may have become stained over time).

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you did :)

Bargain | Bio Oil dupe

Hello my lovelies!
I have a bargain for all you frugal followers, I bought this from non other but Poundland! I usually go in to get stationary but I ended up buying this, I have used Bio Oil in the past and have liked it but i decided to try out this at a 8th of the cost (ish).

I am currently half way though the bottle and i must admit, a few scars from spots have gone! I must admit I don't think it will work as well as big ass scars from operations or stretch marks, I think Bio Oil will probably be best for that. But to get a more even complexion I defiantly recommend it and I will be re-purchasing this fo sho!

How I use it is I apply a fair amount to my face before I go to bed (like night cream), plus an added extra of this is that I don't have to moisturize in the morning!

Review | MUA lip boom

Hello my lovelies!
First of all I should apologize for the fact that I have been away (again) for quite a while. I have been doing my AS levels (and recovering from them).
So as it is the "summer" holidays I will be doing more blog posts yayyyyyy :D

I went for a browse around MUA today at meadowhall and I found this "Lip Boom" product that I have never seen before, it is designed by Burke (Alexandra) and I LOVE it.

It comes in at £3 which is good considering you can get 4 looks out of it
- sheer
- bold
- gloss
- gloss over the lipstick

The lipstick sold it for me anyway because I haven't seen it before, the lipstick colour is called "It's a situation" and it is a vampy/dark red. Which I am surprised to see actually suits me, reds never suit me. I don't think the gloss has a name but it is just a pale, glittery pink which highlights the lips when it is applied over the top (giving an illusion that they are bigger).

apologies for the bad lighting but it'll make do

Review | Rimmel's Kate Moss lipstick.

I love Rimmel London lipsticks but I've never tried one of the ones from the Kate Moss collection, but considering as they are £2 off at Boots at the moment I thought I would pick one up. I love the creamy consistency of this, and it doesn't dry out my lips so much. It's highly pigmented so only one stroke of this is needed for a good effect.
Apologies for my chipped nails!

Review | Sexy Mother Pucker

I was on the lookout for a new lipgloss to wear when I have my hair up - because I hate it when people get hair stuck in their lipgloss! So as I have been eager to try Soap&Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker for ages, because I have quite skinny lips so I would like something the plump them up.
I read the reviews on like and most people were like "this really hurts my lips" but it really doesn't! It goes all tingly and nice on my lips, I suppose it isn't everybody's cup of tea but it is defiantly mine!

My everyday eye makeup.

Thought I might show you lovelies my everyday eye makeup and the products that I use.
Apologies for the eyebrows but i'm growing them out to be thicker.

So here is my bare but primed eye.
